BREATH 30′ (WED, THU 12:00)

Breathing in, breathing out…this is what we do from the moment we were born. For children, the breath flows naturally till down into the abdominal region, indicating a sense of balance and calm. As adults, we are often aware of the process of breathing only when it becomes short, accelerate or difficult. Moving into a mindful state — in which the breath is a nourishing process where the mind and the brain are relaxed but focused – has great benefits on a number of different levels including lower stress levels, relief from mild anxiety, improved mental clarity and focus for the rest of the day and more. Our BREATH meditation that takes you into your inner VAST BREATHING SPACE beyond the agitated mind and it is as nourishing as breathing the oxygenated air from the top of a mountain peak!

COMPASSION 30′ (WED 13:00)

Compassion is an elevate feeling, totally different from pity, the next level after empathy. Cultivating compassion for ourselves, for our daily experiences, imperfect lives or bodies is the next step in being able to offer compassion to other, to realize that suffering, failure, and imperfection is part of our shared human experience. The more we open our hearts to this reality instead of fighting it, the more we will be able to feel compassion for ourselves and all our human fellows on this path called life.Our COMPASSION meditation aims to cultivate self-compassion, starting with compassionate breathwork, a compassionate approach for our tensioned body and for our feelings/emotions we do not ‘like’. We practice ’embracing ourselves’ with kindness and acceptance, the way we are in every now, in love or in suffering. You are very welcome at this compassionate meeting with yourself!

‘May I be filled with lovingkindness!’ Heart and Loving-Kindness meditation focuses on developing feelings of goodwill, kindness and warmth towards self and others. We are primed for love – describes neuroscientist Richard Davidson in his most recent book Altered Traits within the chapter with the same name. Becoming aware of our heart and the very core of it which is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE – has tremendous benefits on the areas of well-being, emotional intelligence, self-awareness and stress regulation, social awareness & our interconnectedness with everything in a warmhearted way.

This HEART meditation is about loving kindness, benevolence, joy, empathy and beauty — these forms of love that we all intrinsically are. You are warmly welcome!

CLARITY 30′ (THU 08:00)

In a complex city landscape, information consumption and the mind’s ‘autopilot’ mode starts as early as we get out of the bed. Our CLARITY meditation – recalling the clarity of an ocean depth – aims to help with starting the day different: cultivating our inner CALMNESS & CLARITY. In this stillness and clearness state, the mind switches into a different mode of engagement – the default mode — the brain network associated with the consolidation of memories, self-referential thought, insight and introspection. Hence, from clarity comes CREATIVITY and INTUITION! We all know those moments when we suddenly come up with insights and ideas that elude while we are sitting at our computers desperately searching for the solution…and we feel: that’s it! “The more clarity you achieve, the more you will find that the universe is on your side, supporting your thoughts and intentions. Therefore, focus on clarity, not on getting results. The results will come according to their own rhythm and timing.” Deepak Chopra

GRATITUDE 45′ (THU 13:00)

What am I grateful for, now? The moments we are grateful for something can uplift us, can make a difference for others and can help change the world. Our GRATITUDE meditation aims to make us aware of the meaning of a grateful life – which allows us to notice all that is already present and abundant – from the tiniest things of beauty and accomplishment to the grandest of our blessings – and in so doing, to take nothing for granted. We can learn to focus our attention on, and acknowledge, that life is a gift, in every moment. In each of our gratitude classes you will have the opportunity to be grateful and to mindfully write down your gratitude feelings at the end of the session.

This exercise has a great impact in the areas of work, relationships, health, happiness levels and impacts the world by releasing our gratitude feelings towards other – weather we’re sick or well, old or young, employed or unemployed – if our heart is beating, air is flowing in our lungs and we had a meal today – there is something we can be grateful for. Join us in spreading gratitude and positive vibes around us!

INTENTION Setting Meditation. Busy days in the city… so we often get caught up in busyness and lose touch with what matters most, may it be time with our loved ones, nourishing hobbies and passions, time in nature, rest etc. We lose connection with ourselves and values & desires dissipate in the life’s mainstream.

What if we stop for a moment from our busyness and reconnect with ourselves: with our breath, our body and our heart? The next step further we’ll take is to write down our conscious intention for today and bring our full awareness to it during the meditation. We start with this small step, learn to trust and allow the unfolding of the bigger picture. This meditation is the best way to tap into your own potential to be happy and well. We can cultivate mindfulness as well as connecting to yourself and intentions for the day and more.

Eine heilsame Klangreise. Erlebe Tiefenentspannung mit Gong, Klangschalen, Monochord und weiteren Instrumenten sowie ausgesuchten, feinen Düften der Natur in einer Oase der Stadt. Nach einer vibrierenden Reise kannst du anschließend den Sound in Stille nachwirken lassen. Du spürst Dich wieder –  erfrischt und energiegeladen für den Rest des Tages. Wer Zeit hat, kann bei einer gemütlichen Tasse Tee das Erfahrene austauschen. Keine Erfahrung oder spezielle Kleidung notwendig.

EMOTIONEN, 30′ (Di)

Wir können Gefühle und Emotionen nicht wirklich auflösen oder verbannen. Wenn wir die verbannen, besser gesagt unterdrücken, werden diese Gefühle und Emotionen in irgendeiner Form in unser Leben zurückkehren. Diese Meditation lädt uns, unsere gegenwärtigen Emotionen wahrzunehmen, anzunehmen, zu verstehen und in unser Bewusstsein einzuladen; hiernach zu beobachten, zu identifizieren und letztlich auf sanfte aber effektive Weise zu akzeptieren und sie als stiller Beobachter dann zu folgen. Wenn wir uns von diesem Sturm mitreißen lassen, dann ist es nur natürlich, dass wir ein Teil dieses Dramas werden. Halten wir jedoch in tiefer Meditation still, dann ist dieser Sturm für uns nicht weiter als ein farbenfroher Tanz des Lebens. Komm mit in die Welt der bunten Emotionen die wollen gesehen werden – dann wird es schön ruhig!

BEWEGTE STILLE 45′ (DO 17:00)

Die Stille befindet sich in uns. Während wir uns durch den Tag bewegen, bewegen wir diese Stille überall in unseren täglichen Tätigkeiten.  In dieser 45 minütigen Einheit werden wir leichte und BEWUSSTE BEWEGUNGEN durchführen, sodass wir uns langsam unseres Körpers, unserer Muskeln, der Flüssigkeiten, die durch unsere Venen fließen, etwaiger Spannungen und was auch immer wir noch im gegenwärtigen Moment in unserem Körper wahrnehmen BEWUSST werden.
Aus dieser Gangart der langsamen Bewegung heraus gelangen wir in die Stille, die in uns liegt. Das entspricht unserer Natur.

FARBENKLÄNGE 45′ (MO 14:00 & DO 17:00)

Unser Leben ist bunt, sofern wir es bunt gestalten. Farben haben großen Einfluss auf unsere Emotionen und wirken beruhigend und stärkend auf das gesamte Körpersystem.

In dieser 45‘-Session tauchen wir ein in die Welt der Farben, unterstützt von Fantasiereisen und den sanften Klängen unterschiedlicher Klangschalen. Lass deinen Arbeitsalltag hinter dir, lass dich ein auf die tiefenentspannenden Schwingungen des Klangbads, lass die Farben auf dich wirken und drücke im Anschluss deine Empfindungen in Form eines Mandalas aus und schöpfe daraus neue Energie und Kraft für deine bevorstehenden Aufgaben. Farbenfroh in den Tag!

A KIND WORD ON ETIQUETTE

Please come 5-10 minutes before a drop-in session you registered for (at least 2 hours in advance, see rules) starts. We always start on time and the door will be closed during the meditation session. Please be aware that you cannot attend a class if you do not arrive in time and the session cost is fully due. 

Kindly, turn off or set your mobile devices in a totally silent mode while here. A vibration mode is NOT an option.

citySTILLE is a shoe free zone; you will find warm slippers by the entrance.

For sitting up in Raum der Stille we have cushions 20 cm /15 cm height or comfortable chairs that hold your back perfectly straight. As well, you can lay down (ex. Soundbath, Farbenklänge) on a mat with a warm plaid and a Zirben-pillow. As well, there are lavender/herbes eye pillows which we advise you to use for a even more relaxing journey within.

We want you to feel great and “like home” while here and would love to welcome you and your friends again.
